AS Roma was born July 22, 1927 from the merger of three existing companies and in 1941-42 won his first championship.
The following years saw the alternation of good results and other vintages less positive, culminating in relegation to Serie B the year 1950/51, immediately redeemed the following year with the return in the top division.
In the 1960/61 season the Giallorossi won their first international trophy, the Fairs Cup, followed by two victories in the Italian Cup in the years 1963/64 and 1968/9.
In the late 70s the company was taken over by Dino Viola that transforms and brings it to win for two consecutive years the Italian Cup (1979/80 and 1980/1) and their second championship in 1983.
In 1984 he won the Italian Cup again and reached the final of the the Champions League but, despite playing the final at the Olimpico, lost with Liverpool on penalties.
Now he wins again the Italian Cup in the years 1985/86 and 1990/91
In the year 1999/2000 the company wins his third title.
In the following years he collects many second places and won the Italy Cup again for two consecutive years
(2006/7 and 2007/8) confirming itself among the best teams in the Italian league
The company red and yellow is one of the best teams in the Italian league and one of the three listed.
In 1953, the AS Roma dispute his first championship at the Olympic Stadium, still a theater of home games of the company. In 1990 it was renovated during the World Cup, played in Italy
